The Story Behind The Wellness Project
Access to therapy should never be limited by cost, yet for many, high copays and deductibles make ongoing care unattainable. My own experience mirrors this reality—I had to stop therapy because I simply couldn’t afford it, despite how much it helped me.
Working with therapists now, I’ve seen clients struggle with the same challenge. Some are forced to leave care, while others hesitate to start, not because they don’t want help, but because they cannot manage the expense. This inspired me to create The Wellness Project—an initiative designed to help bridge that financial gap and ensure individuals can access the care they need.
Our mission is straightforward: to support individuals in their wellness journey and provide a community that encourages and uplifts. By involving the community and partnering with local churches, we aim to offer both financial support and a network of continued encouragement beyond therapy sessions.
The Wellness Project is grounded in the belief that seeking help is courageous and deserves support. By raising funds to offset costs, we hope to remove financial barriers and empower individuals to prioritize their mental and emotional wellbeing.
Ultimately, our goal is simple: to inspire, support, and provide access to care for anyone who needs it—because everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive.
